Scope: IDS and Jacobs Consultancy teamed to conduct a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) grant study aimed to consolidate material measurement equipment currently spread across disparate locations on campus into a single standalone facility in the south research corridor. The new facility is meant to become a catalyst for collaborative research near Bio Engineering, Life Science and the College of Engineering. The project promotes interdisciplinary research by utilizing open and flexible labs, shared resources, and open an office concept.
Challenge: CMMF located on a tight site, needed to preserve the Baker Woodlot site.
